Mykonos Geography
With a 88km surface and a 81,5km coast, Mykonos is located in the Cyclades Islands, in Greece, southern Europe and accounts 5850 inhabitants (Mykoniates).
Localities
Chora, the capital, equipped with an international airport, and Ano Mera, inside the grounds, are the largest and principal localities in the island.The bathing localities (Aghiou Stefanou, Agrari, Kalafati), much smaller, are deserted in low season.
The Mountains
Mykonos is an island where you can go trekking even though Mount Profitis Ilias Vorniotis, the highest one, does not exceed 400m. |
